This month's topic is:
Frames (speaker: Bill Baldwin)
This is a talk about implementing frames on a WEB site. Frames in this case means the outside edge of the WEB page, not XHTML frames. These frames can be anything from a fancy picture frame, to a more simple frame which allows for rounded corners on the WEB site rather than the square corners provided by XHTML.

Implementation was done using CSS, XHTML, and PHP using OOP. The fram! e is a PHP class which uses another PHP class to implement the contents of the frame. This allows frames to be nested, with different levels being the same, or different types of frames.

Bill Baldwin mini-BIO:

Bill Baldwin has been developing WEB pages off and on for more than ten years. Recently he has added XHTML and PHP to his spectrum of skills, and has honed his CSS skills as well.

Meeting tonight @JCCC @6pm subject: Mocha tracking FREE door prizes

I run an official Adobe User Group in KC called KCVideoCore. We are the 4th Adobe group in KC and as the name suggests we focus on Video production/products /etc. Before you throw rocks swearing that Final Cut > Premiere Pro, know that we focus on ALL the software (and sometimes hardware).

We meet every third Tuesday at JCCC. Which is today (better late than never... sigh). Today's meeting is about Mocha for After Effects. Mocha ships with AE CS4 so if you got AE, you got Mocha. Mocha is a tracking software that uses planes and splines as apposed to singular reference points. Pretty cool stuff.

Here is a render of what I'll be demo'ing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NziBbPDTM This may be elementary to some of you, but our member's skill set vary from experts to sponges (just soaking up the knowledge).

Now for the GOOD stuff. Raffle prizes!!

• After Effects CS4 Classroom in a book!
• Black and White in Photoshop CS4 and Lightroom
• Video with Adobe Flash CS4 Professional
• An Adobe Journal + Adobe Pen

Not to mention we keep your raffle tickets for the 'big give away' meeting. Sometime in the summer a meeting where one lucky winner will get to select an Adobe suite (or individual software) valued up to $2,100! We've already had two winners from last year, drop by and give it a shot, maybe you win something, make some good networking connections. .. hell even learn a thing or two ;)

our meetup site; for more info on location/time etc: http://www.meetup.com/KCVideoCore/calendar/12110794/

and our Adobe usergroup site if you are REALLY interested:

Thanks for reading.

Last month you heard Curtis Wilson discuss what can happen when viruses, malware and spyware get into your system.
He also mentioned a couple of products he now uses to help prevent/discover such problems in the future. We also added to the discussion with other thoughts but what we did was talk. This month we show and tell. We will download the products and install then run them. Since this takes time and time is finite we will do our best to get in what we can. If you have equipment you think needs cleaned then bring it in with you. Laptops are the easiest for an off-site meeting but if you feel you need to, bring in a desktop. Please email me at [email protected] so we can be prepared. For desktops we can most likely use a monitor at the meeting location but the keyboard and mouse will probably have to be brought in with the desktop.

While we are waiting for some of the products to download/install/run we can talk about how to formulate a good plan to protect our PC equipment and expand our experience. The term BEST is not always the same for each individual. Maybe we can help define that term for you. As always, the more people involved in the discussion the more beneficial it is to all so bring in your experiences/opinions. In this arena there is no such thing as a best way; the choice is from a number of better ways. What is best in this point in time changes with product offerings but most importantly from your knowledge and experience. The more you grow in each of these areas the more your viewpoint changes. Come help be a change in someone else's PC experience.

As usual, there will be a question and answer session and other topics discussed you may find interesting so come and bring your expertise.

Where: New Horizons Computer Learning Center Metcalf South Shopping Center 96th & Metcalf, Overland Park, KS (Please enter the door of Metcalf South on the lower level of the shopping center on the West - You will find New Horizons inside the center area.)
