This month we will discuss wireless networking. Are you aware of the different types and benefits of the various levels of wireless networking? Do you recognize terms like 802.11 and how about the array of letters, A B G N and 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz? Well, we will discuss these but actions speak louder than words so we will set up a wireless router during the meeting where we can learn and try A B G N and 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz. Well maybe. To use all these your laptop has to have the same capability. The router we will use has all these and what's more, it can do it all at the same time. What capability does your laptop have? If you know come and show it off, if you do not know then come and find out.
The router we will use is a Linksys E3000, a router capable of broadcasting on the 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz bands and A B G N simultaneously. For those interested in more technical facts look it up and for others, look it up anyway because some lucky member will take it home after the meeting. This is a top of the line router costing in three figures. The key word here is member. If your membership has lapsed then bring your $25 to the meeting and renew. If it has not then come and possibly collect your dividend. The winner takes home a router worth 5 times their membership fee. As usual, there will be a question answer period where we can discuss other issues as you see fit. Please email known questions to Bill Diamond at [email protected] before hand.
The next Agile KC meeting will be at the Pizza Shoppe at 6:30 PM on
Thursday March 24, 2011. Please check the website www.agilekc.org

Come out to see some tools, tricks and tips on how to leverage these questions and fit it within the SCRUM framework to help answer the ultimate question of "What is done?". Patrick will show some of the tools and tricks that he has acquired over the years to leverage these into the SCRUM tool set.
Who is Patrick Liekhus?
Patrick has been a team member in the Kansas City market for over 15 years leading several SCRUM oriented teams through various industries. Patrick likes to refer to his role on the teams as a "coding architect" where he leverages the patterns and practices into hands-on applications. Patrick is a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) as well as Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) and Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD).
Come out and join us in our new space as well as listen to a great presenter. We will be having our quarterly meeting on Tuesday, March 15th from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at 9201 Ward Parkway.

Hello all! Tomorrow's meeting content will be changed. Larry had some prior commitments and can't present for March. SO, I'm going to show what I was going to show for April instead. Tomorrow I'll show new features of Max 2012. Also, I'm going to show how to use Microsoft's Kinect set up a simple motion capture stage utilizing MotionBuilder and some freeware.
Sorry for the confusion and I hope those of you who already RSVP'ed will still find this presentation interesting. Anyone else who hasn't RSVP'ed feel free to let me know!
