HUG Windows Freeware SIG 5/15/2012 New Horizons Room 6

In the past weeks I have been asked a similiar question twice, what is the best free product(s) I can load to protect my computer. This is an area we have not looked at in detail for awhile and it probably needs to be reviewed. Over time offerings tend to change and not always in the positive direction. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and what is a minor annoyance to one drives another up a wall.

Technical skill of a user is also a definite consideration. A very technical user may want the very best product by each type and others want one that provides good protection with less attention from the user. Come to the meeting and air your views. Remember, a product used correctly beats one that is not understood even if it has a high reputation.
