Connecting for Good Computer Drive
Friday, Nov. 2, 9-10 a.m. (after the breakfast) at the Kansas City Cafe (1532 Grand)
Bring your used and unwanted desktops, laptops, tablets and smart phones to our regular monthly breakfast on November 2 at the Kansas City Cafe (see above). Together with Connecting for Good, SMCKC is launching a computer drive to collect internet-connected devices to be distributed to lower income Kansas City residents. The kickoff event will take place from 9-10 a.m. (immediately after the SMCKC breakfast) and the entire community is invited. The hard drives will be wiped clean and hardware refurbished by Synetic Technologies. Tax receipts will be provided. You can help in bringing computers and internet connections to Kansas City's fiberhoods!
