CCCKC, ROBOTS and CCKC13

UNITE AT CCKC13 TO DISCUSS, IMAGINE, AND BUILD DIVERSITY IN TECHNOLOGY AND GOVERNMENT.

Kauffman Foundation -- CityCampKC 2013 is back on Saturday, April 20th, from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. to connect civic makers and hackers to local government. The CityCamp series has swept the globe to bring positive change through powerful new tools for citizens to engage with local government. CCKC13 tackles issues by enhancing new systems for government, neighborhoods, and public services. CCKC13 defines the way participation, open data and the web will create a better Kansas City. The day will start with a series of expert panels, rapid-fire “Ignite” talks then move to interactive looks at government, diversity and economic development. Talks, workshops, and self guided "unconference" will re-imagine how Kansas City’s latest whiz-bang technology will enhance our future.

CCCKC will have a multi-project display setup in the main hall as well as a panel of speakers. If you would like to contribute a project, participate in the panel or just attend please contact CCCKC Communications VP at [email protected].

"We've always had the right people,” said Jase Wilson, MIT grad, CEO of civic crowd-funding platform, Neighbor.ly. “We've always had the economic, academic and tech resources. Now, we have the open-minded leadership and the will to raise citizen engagement while saving tax money. It’s time to improve civic life through open technology and collaboration in Kansas City. We're excited to help facilitate that at City-CampKC.
