The October Agile KC meeting will be held at 6:30 PM at Centriq Training on
Thursday October 24, 2013. This will be a hosted event so please visit www.agilekc.org to register
if you plan on attending so our sponsor knows how many will be joining us for
dinner.
Meeting Topic: Understanding Agile as a
cultural, organizational change transformation.
Meeting Learning: Attendees
will introduced to the field of Industrial Psychology with respect
cultural transformations and how this large body of knowledge can be leveraged
metrics to assist with Agile initiatives.
Meeting Description:
The number one reason for agile adoption/transformation failures is Culture.
Agile philosophies continue to uncover traditional business issues related to
system and people. These Agile initiatives have reached the limit of IT’s
ability to make further progress. People and Culture need to be addressed in a
cross-disciplinary fashion – a systems-thinking approach – in order to make
progress.
This will be an interactive presentation for anyone interested in viewing Agile
as a cultural and organizational change initiative over process mechanics.
Anyone interested in learning from an industry leading organizational
psychologist and marrying that data to a repeatable on-going
Agile/organizational metrics assessment.
About the Speakers:
You can find more about the trio from Convergent that will be leading the
presentation, Dr. Jared Lock, Nathan Lagergren and Brett Gibson by visiting
their profiles at http://www.convergentllc.com/about/
