Android: Supporting Multiple Devices Part 1 of 2

Summary: In this session I want to discuss what it takes to develop an application that will support Phones and tablets. This session will focus primarily on Android 4.0 and higher. I will discuss the use of Fragments and show a demo of a master/detail type screens. I will provide sample code on Github and of course post my slides on my blog. This session will be more demo code focused and less slides. I will be using Android Studio for the demos.
Android: Supporting Multiple Devices Part 2 of 2 : Future date TBD
Summary: In this session I will continue where I left on in Part 1, but will focus on older devices. This session will primarily focus on Android 2.0 to current. I will discuss the use of the compatibility library to allow the use of Fragments and Action Bar. I will have different sample code on Git hub and of course any slides on my blog. I will of course still be using Android Studio.
Android: Working with Data : Future date TBD
Summary: In this session I will talk about the different ways to use data in an Android Application. These uses are from the android string.xml resource, an xml file, a database, and JSON. I will have a sample application on Github that will show all of these techniques. I will also provide my slides (if any) on my blog. I will be using Android Studio and try to do mostly demo code.
