We're tentatively scheduled for the small conference room in the Plaza Library, though I might look at some alternatives if we get a lot of RSVPs.
Let's share what we know about R. There are two tentative topics left over from our January 4 meeting. I will talk about wavelets, an alternative to Fourier decomposition useful for de-noising and image compression. Caleb will talk about shiny, a package that allows you to set up R applications that run on a web server (Caleb, can you confirm that you can make this meeting?). We have room for one or two other topics. We'll also brainstorm about other advanced topics that we will try to get covered in future meetings.
