  • Fellow group members Mark McKelvey, data scientist at Alight Analytics, & Sean P. Goggins, Professor at University of Missouri-Columbia, will be giving talks geared towards network and graph theory. Mark will be talking about applying network analysis to marketing channel optimization. He'll show us a practical example and talk some about the tools of the trade. Sean's topic and bio will be posted soon. You can learn more about Sean at his website, http://www.seangoggins.net/. Also check back for the room number.
Mark is a data scientist at Alight Analytics. This role lives near the "predict" end of the process continuum. He designs data flow architectures, creates data integration processes and develops statistical/mathematical models to forecast performance. Mark serves in the National Guard as an Army Mechanic and previously served in the Air Force as an Intelligence Analyst. An ideal day for Mark would include a full English breakfast, hours of mountain biking, an afternoon of fishing and an evening of camping with the wife and kids
