6:30 PM
North face of the building, West Door.
In the first part of our lesson we will be setting up the tools we need for developing responsive websites. We will get comfortable the following technologies:
• LayoutIt - For rapid responsive website markup (HTML) generation.
• Git GUI Application - For version control.
• Koala - A GUI App for code compression and compilation.
• Slack - For Team Communication and live question asking while we are tutoring.
After we get working as a team, we will then walk through building a complete website and work on getting more familiar with HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap. (our responsive CSS framework).
While creating this website we will look at the project not only as a code base, but as a client-deliverable product. We will discuss responsive theory and examine what the project architecture looks like around a responsive website for a small business, for example.
