Join us for an introduction to Object Oriented Programming in PHP and WordPress.  We'll take a brief look at theory: Why should you be using OOP? How does it benefit you? Why is it a good choice for the community? And then we'll get our hands dirty and create a WordPress plugin using OOP techniques and software design patterns.  You'll even get the source code and the plugin if you want to try them out on your own sites.

This talk is geared towards people who have built (or attempted to build!) WordPress Themes and Plugins. We'll assume a basic, but not advanced, level of PHP knowledge.  Can't wait to see you!

Networking begins at 6:30 and the presentation begins at 7:00.
