7:00 PM

Centriq Training

8700 State Line Road, Leawood, KS (map)

We're on the second floor of the building, you can't miss us!

So you're a graphic designer who mostly deals with static images. But what happens when it's time to make those designs MOVE? "Animation" doesn't just mean cartoons - making your visual creations move can open up a whole new dimension (sometimes literally!) of possibilities. Regardless of which program you want to use (there are SEVERAL even just within the Adobe realm), the basic principles of motion and timing are the same, and we'll talk about them at the KCDesignCore May meeting.

Kyle Hamrick will be demonstrating the basics of thinking about motion, building/planning for it during asset creation, and showing some practical examples of how to bring your work to life in a few different Adobe programs.
About Kyle:
For over a decade, Kyle Hamrick has worked as a video editor and motion designer for various Kansas City-based production companies and now co-owns his own media production studio, The Feral Few. He’s cut local TV spots, managed full in-stadium graphics packages for professional sports franchises, done compositing and effects work on primetime network TV shows and done pretty much everything in between. Kyle has been using After Effects heavily for over 10 years and teaches courses in its use at ThinqDigital training center in Shawnee. He also co-manages our sister group, KCVideoCore.
Come and be prepared to learn from one of the masters of motion graphics. TEKSystems will provide dinner. Bring a friend!
Check out the Feral Few's demo reel.
