This is a group for people interested in bioinformatic applications, either as researcher or a programmer. The Kansas City area has a large concentration of biotechnology companies and institutions doing amazing and diverse work. I'm hoping this group will give people a chance to meet others in this field. We'll meet once a month after work for a happy hour to see how everyone is doing and to discuss projects, interests, or whatever. I want to help grow the bioinformatic community in KC, and I think a little face-to-face time would do us all wonders.
