For our first meetup of 2016, Keith Moll will talk about the Future of Device Development. With the growing number of smart devices, from wearables to smart homes to drones, the landscape of device development is changing and growing.  We will hear how mobile app development is expanding beyond smartphones and tablets.
Keith has 25+ years of wireless network and device R&D experience at Sprint and AT&T Bell Labs and a proven track record of delivering industry-first, state-of-the-art technologies that have enabled over $1B in revenues. Keith has led cross-functional teams and vendors in researching, developing, and deploying the telecom industry’s first GPS-accurate location of wireless 911 callers.
For the encore, James Hall will present on Clean Architecture for mobile applications. He will start with an introduction to Robert C Martin’s Clean Architecture and transition to how VML has formalized the software architecture model for mobile software development. We will hear how to build maintainable apps by a set of key guidelines to help facilitate modular design.
