Hello again, potential Nebraska.Code() Speakers!

It’s almost March 1, so you’re probably expecting this email to tell you that you only have ONE MORE DAY to submit your sessions for this year’s Nebraska.Code().

Nope.

We’ve extended the call for speakers until March 15.  That’s to give you – yes YOU – a chance to polish that awesome abstract and make sure it’s got a fair chance to be selected for Nebraska.Code().

Submit your sessions here: nebraskacode.com/callforspeakers

As a result, selection will happen a week or two later than originally planned as well.  On a related note, we have help with selection this year – the attendees!  We’ve opened a portion of the site that will allow attendees to view submissions and optionally provide a +1 and a comment (no down-voting – we don’t want your fragile self-esteems to be damaged).  All your information (name, email, bio and even your shirt size) has been hidden from the voter to hopefully get non-speaker-biased votes.

Feel free to watch the comments on your submissions and reply to the comments.  When you reply, your name will be displayed as “session presenter”.  You may see questions or comments from us organizers as well.  This is intended to provide some degree of a dialog about sessions we’re interested in, but may need a little more info about.

Thanks again for your interest in supporting our developer community!  We couldn’t do this without you.  So get those last minute sessions in, and hopefully we’ll see you in May!
