Meetup Description
Three.js - presented by Josh Durham
You have seen those super shiny WebGL applications and think, “Yeah, I can do that!” so you sit down and start digging in. Then three cups of coffee, a broken keyboard, and a flipped table later, you’re convinced that those applications are the work of black magic and voodoo. Well, fear not my friends; it’s actually far simpler (and far less nefarious) than that because we have three.js!
So what is three.js? Three.js a lightweight 3D library with a low level of complexity. To ease you into the wonderful world of WebGL and three.js, I will provide a primer on WebGL, cover why three.js was created, what three.js is, and how to get started using it.
Cycle.js - presented by Alex Munda
Cycle.js is a JavaScript framework that uses functional and reactive principles which allow you to treat your app as a pure function. Cycle.js enables your dataflow to be visible and declaritive, making your code easy to understand. This talk will scratch the surface on what Cycle.js is and how it can be used to create apps.
C2FO will be providing food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.
