7:00 PM
Aaron Sumner will talk about his recent exploration of Gosu, a 2D game library for Ruby.
•Why would anyone write a game in Ruby?
•How is game development different from writing web applications?
•And where can I learn more about Ruby game development?
Those are good questions; ones that will be answered in this presentation.
We're also looking for someone to present for "Problem Space / Code Review". This is a new session that we did last month and I enjoyed it. I presented a solution I came up with for a problem/task I had at work and we discussed as a group alternative approaches and ways my solution could be improved. This doesn't have to be a problem/task from work and it doesn't even need to be solved yet.
Doors will open at 6:30 and presentations will begin around 7:00.
BalancePoint will be providing pizza and pop.
