This month's presentation is:
ASP.NET Core 1.0 brings some drastic changes to ASP.NET. Json files are used for configuration. And what is Middleware? Session has changed too; the ASP.NET developer needs to serialize and de-serialize it themselves. MVC 6 brings tag helpers in place of HTML helpers. The Microsoft roadmap will be discussed on a high level and a demo application will show the specifics.

Carolyn Schroeder got her start .NET programming in several corporate environments including Quest ExamOne, NIC and UMB. She founded Schroeder Consulting in 2013. She is an enthusiastic blogger and has spoken at KC Web Pros and the KC .NET User Group. For the last year, Carolyn Schroeder has
worked as the sole proprietor of Schroeder Consulting serving the needs of clients of all sizes. She has a number of open source projects on GitHub focused on ASP.Net Core 1.0, formerly ASP.NET 5.
