This is a meet-up night for tech-minded HammerSpace members!
Help our newest (and youngest) instructor test his game programming class he plans on teaching several times over the Summer. The first 5 people to sign up get to take this practice class. This practice class is FREE BTW, and open to ages 13-113 years old. Details below...
Mapping For Source (Engine)
Bring your laptop with a Steam account and a Source running game (Half Life, Half Life Ep 1, Half Life Ep 2, Portal 2, and/or Counter Strike), and learn how to make your own custom maps/levels. Have an idea in mind of what kind of map you would like to create, and maybe even a sketch of what you want to build. You will learn the basics of the Hammer editor, including basic geometry forming, lighting, and prop placing, or more if there is time. Please have one or more of the games already downloaded and installed before the class to save you time.
