Introduction
Allow me extend you all a warm welcome to the KC Selenium Meetup group. Thank you for your interest in and for joining this group! It's taken us a bit longer to get things going than we had wanted, but we've just now scheduled the inaugural meeting of our group. Won't you please join us?
I think we’re just going to go ahead and dive in and get our hands dirty installing Selenium WebDriver (Java bindings) and create our first page object model and write our first test. I’d really like those that are just learning about Selenium and getting started to leave with something that works and they can build upon. I’ll be sending out an email to notify the upload and location of some docs for instructions of setting up your computer and development environment prior to the meetup so that we can just get into the good stuff. I’d like to go over other topics that attendees would like to cover more in-depth in the future.
Prerequisites/Prep
If you want to work along with the slides on your own laptop. To speed things up and so that we can jump right in, I recommend having the following installed in the following order prior to arriving at the meetup.
• Java and Eclipse IDE
• ChromeDriver
• Maven
• TestNG
I have attached instructions in the Meetup files section if you need assistance with this.
Organizers
Nick will go over the introduction to Selenium WebDriver along with a short but hopefully informative hands on lab of installing and setting up Selenium.
Agenda
• 6:30 - 6:45 Social time, food and refreshments
• 6:45 - 7:15 Introduction to Selenium WebDriver in Java
• 7:15 - 8:30 Workshop install Selenium WebDriver and writing first test.
• 8:30 - 8:45 Wrap up / close.

Meetup location is at Town Pavilion 4th floor in the Marquis Room | 1100 Walnut St. Kansas City, MO 64106
There is some limited street parking and there is the Town Pavilion parking garage to the Southeast. I have attached directions and some more instructions in the meetup file section.
