Doina Caragea is an Associate Professor at Kansas State University. Her research interests include artificial intelligence, machine learning and data mining, with applications to bioinformatics, social network analysis, and scientometrics, among others. Doina received her Ph.D. in Computer Science from Iowa State University in August 2004 and was honored with the Iowa State University Research Excellence Award for her work. She has published more than 80 refereed conference and journal articles and was co-editor for a book on Computational Methodologies in Gene Regulatory Networks, published by IGI Publishers. Doina is teaching machine learning, data mining and bioinformatics courses.
