In this Saturday afternoon class, you will build a slick Retro Pi universal game console emulator! Use it to revisit your old gaming favorites or sample the fruits of the more obscure dead ends of the 80's and 90's console wars.
The system you'll build will reliably run games from systems up to the era of the SNES. Some games from the original Playstation will work, but with degraded quality.
The core of our Retro Pi's will be a Raspberry Pi Zero and a USB Game Controller. The class will cover how to install and configure Retro Pi, how to load games into its library, where to find games, and how to emulate more powerful systems.
The class fee includes all of the hardware you'll need to get up and running:
A Pi Zero A SD Memory Card
A Retro gaming controller
All the assorted cables and connections you'll need
A snazzy enclosure
Important: Be sure to bring your own laptop and USB memory stick to the class so we can search for and install games of your choice.
