Serverless computing
Serverless computing, aka Function as a Service (FaaS), allows people to integrate applications and solve specific business challenges with minimal overhead and time. In this presentation I will show how I use Microsoft Azure Functions to automatically generated blog posts by reading the Meetup API and using SendGrid to send emails to blogger.com. I will also show how I use IFTTT to generate tweets and facebook posts from the blog post. I will end the session with an explanation of WebHooks and the pivotal role they can play in serverless computing. All of this can be done with services that are free to use. I hope this presentation gives you a solid understanding of FaaS and some ideas for how you can use it.
