*This event has reached capacity. No more RSVP's will be taken. Thanks to everyone for attending.
The Kansas City Machine Learning+Artificial Intelligence Group in partnership with The University of Missouri - Kansas City will be hosting a Center for Big Learning industry luncheon on May 18 from 11:00AM - 1:00 PM.
The CBL Team @ UMKC and KCMLAIG have partnered to help increase the collaboration between industry and academia in the area of Deep Learning and big data applications.
The event will be held (tentatively) in the Student Union at UMKC. During this luncheon, we will inform our guests about the Center (http://nsfcbl.org) and how local companies can benefit from joining the Center.
The primary goal is to learn about the needs of local companies in deep learning and big data and applications of them. We also plan to showcase the groups talent pool and some of our cutting-edge projects. Many local companies (IBM, Cerner, Sprint, Honeywell, MRI, and small businesses) have confirmed to attend.
The Center will be the first of its kind in the nation on Big Data and Deep Learning, including theoretical and applied research and transition development. NSF will provide up to $3M matching research grants over 5 years in support of research initiatives.
If you plan to attend, please RSVP on the Meetup group and with Dr. Yugyi Lee at [email protected] or Dr. ZhiQiang Chen [email protected].
