This meetup also coincides with Pt. 2 of the VR/AR workshop. If you are not attending the workshop, feel free to come anyway, network, and chat about VR!
Join the Kansas City Public Library's Digital Media Lab, KCVR, and Mozilla for an educator focused VR workshop. In PART 2 of this 'Intro to VR Workshop', you will continue to learn the basic building blocks of virtual reality and have an opportunity to create your own virtual environment. No coding experience necessary!
This workshop takes place over the course of three evenings. We encourage you to attend the next two workshop events so that you can benefit from local VR experts, who will be on-site to support participants. If you were unable to attend part 1 of this workshop or would like to review materials, please contact the organizer of this event at [email protected] for information.
6:30 pm - 7:00 pm: eats, drinks, networking
7:00 pm - 8:00 pm: presentation and VR workshop
Workshop dates:
Part 2: May 22, 2017 from 6:30 - 8:00 pm at at Centriq Training (a KCVR meetup)
Part 3: June 26, 2017 from 5:30 - 7:00 pm at the Westport Public Library (another special edition of Geeks & Treats hosted by the KC Public Library!)
Note: This is a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) event. Each participant will need a laptop (Mac or PC). If you have a smartphone, you may bring that as well, but not required. Again, no coding experience is necessary.
This workshop is being made possible through a collaboration between the Kansas City Public Library's Digital Media Lab, KCVR, and Mozilla.
