For the July meetup we will target a group hands-on Kubernetes tutorial. The tutorial should be led by a few self-selected people who have completed the tutorial already. We will go through step by step and stop regularly to work through any issues that people have with the steps.
The setting up of Kubernetes will follow a lot of the work done by Kelsey Hightower with some modifications to help things move along quicker https://github.com/kelseyhightower/kubernetes-the-hard-way The tutorial focuses on running on Google Cloud, so have that set up ahead of time so we can move faster. https://aaronblythe.github.io/kubernetes/2017/07/07/kubernetes-hands-on-tutorial.html
This is new and different and we want your feedback and interest level. The planning for this is open and you can help out in the #planning channel in the DevOpsKC Slack http://devopskc.herokuapp.com/ to join and https://devopskc.slack.com/ if you are already a member.
We would love to see some short talks on interesting things you have done with Kubernetes.
Tentatively this will be held at the Corinth Library in Prairie Village pending approval.
