Hello fellow Angulaires,

We have the date for our first Angular event: Tuesday, November 14th @ 6:30pm. Location is KU Edwards Campus room BEST 170.

There will be two talks; the first will be a basic lesson on starting, and extending, an Angular app using the Angular-CLI; and for our second talk, we will do a real world walk through of deploying our Angular app using Docker and NGINX.

Code examples will be pushed to our Github repo: https://github.com/angularkc

If you plan on following along with the live-demo, please install the latest (stable) versions of:

- Angular-CLI (https://cli.angular.io/)

- Node (https://nodejs.org/en/)

For the second half:

- Docker (https://www.docker.com/) (Mac (https://store.docker.com/editions/community/docker-ce-desktop-mac), Windows (https://store.docker.com/editions/community/docker-ce-desktop-windows), Linux (https://store.docker.com/editions/community/docker-ce-server-ubuntu))

Disclaimer: Check back here as the date of the event gets closer. We are still working out many of the details of the event, and the information here will change to reflect that.

Special thanks to Sriram, Ana, Alisa, Avi, and Darrin for stepping up to organize and put this Meetup in motion!
