PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE IN VENUE FOR THIS MEETING
We're excited to announce our annual year-end forum. Come join the conversation as we explore the challenges of finding success and happiness as a software professional. Whether you are fresh out of college or a seasoned professional you will find value as our panel of renowned speakers share their insights and experiences.
We'll discuss topics such as:
Being a Polyglot Professional: Pushing the boundaries of personal knowledge.
Our panel will discuss the pros and cons of being specialized in a specific technology vs investing time in building a broad base of technical skills.
Stepping outside your comfort zone: finding uncommon paths that lead to professional growth.
There are many ways to reach your goals, but most of them involve doing something new and uncomfortable. The panel will talk about how they have been impacted by taking on challenges that forced them to step outside of their comfort zones.
Seizing the opportunity: taking a calculated risk for success.
We look at successful people and think about how lucky they must have been, when in fact, their "luck" was created by taking a risk when they saw an opportunity. We will have our panel share stories of the times they have taken risks and seized opportunity.
Staying Productive: Getting the most out of your time.
Why do some days feel productive while others feel like you would have gotten as much done if you stayed in bed? We'll ask our panel to share some of the habits and routines that help them stay focused and motivated when they have a "Case of the Mondays."
Networking: Making friends and influencing people
The adage "It's not what you know, but who you know" still holds true today, whether it's about getting work or help solving a problem. We'll talk about the importance of having strong professional relationships and ask our panel how their careers have been influenced by their network of contacts.
