Join us for our final meetup!
Using SQLITE Databases with ASP.NET, MVC and Entity Framework
A light-weight database alternative to SQL SERVER, is the stand-alone database SQLITE.
SQLITE is touted as the most widely used database engine in the world (due - most likely to being used on phones / tablets / mobile devices).
While teaching students in his ASP.NET web development class, Ray demonstrated using this database approach.
In this month's presentation you will see and consider what's involved with:
-- navigating the SQLITE website, and what to download
-- plugging the database into your ASP.NET solution
-- using the DESIGNER
-- code-first versus database first
-- using SQLITE behind the controllers
-- using the REPOSITORY pattern to switch between SQLITE and SQL SERVER
-- using a Dependency Injection framework for implementing your desired database approach
See you there !!!
