Featured Presentation - Our featured presentation will be given by Richard Kiles, the regional Docker Solution Engineer for the area. At this inaugural Docker Kansas City Meetup, he will kick it off by giving a product overview of what Docker is and why it is important, discuss its features and capabilities, and talk about use cases and how companies are leveraging it in both their run-time and development stacks.
Second Presentation - YRC has focused on making Docker part of its microservice architecture this past year. Bill Hansen and Jeff Smith from YRC will give a brief overview of how Docker is being leveraged as a part of its single page application and microservice architecture for running various application components.
Open discussion - Bring your questions, ideas for future topics, and other ideas on what you would like to see in the KC Docker Meetup going forward.
• What's provided:
Soft drinks, bottled water and pizza will be provided, but we need a reasonably accurate headcount so please RSVP as soon as you know if you're coming. No alcoholic beverages, illegal substances or weapons are permitted on the YRC campus.
