Meeting Description:

A lot of information and experience reports have been published over the last couple of years that underscore the need to leaders to adopt a Lean | Agile stance in order to help their organizations evolve. While this is critical, it is more typical than not that cultivating a new way of managing and leading is a long lived, complex journey. Stating that one should become an Agile Lean Leader is akin to saying one should run a marathon and providing a book or some white papers for reference. As with any journey, it is helpful to have some 'first steps' to begin with. Staying with the marathon analogy, it may be helpful to have someone help you start running laps at the local track and work on your form. This month's Agile KC meeting Martin Olson will be addressing the complexities of evolving your Lean Agile Leader stance by giving you 10 things you can do immediately to either start or further your journey. These are not abstract theoretical notions that you'll have to figure out how they might be applicable. We'll discuss specific activities, how you can leverage them and hear from the group about their experiences with them. It won't make you a Agile Lean leader in one evening, but it will give you some things to work on for 2018 and beyond.

Martin will also talk about how leveraging the Scaled Agile Framework has supported this journey at various clients throughout the US. If you are using SAFe or are interested in learning more about improving your leadership capabilities, please plan on joining us!
