**THIS IS A 2-PART, TWO DAY CLASS. FIRST PART SATURDAY, MARCH 3RD, 1:00PM-4:00PM. SECOND PART SUNDAY, MARCH 4TH, 1:00PM-6:00PM**
Every home demands a showpieces. A special piece of furniture with a story to tell. Our designer chairs look great while being a comfortable place to curl up with a good book. And the story of how you made it yourself will never fail to impress!
In this two day class, we will start with a set of Baltic Birch Plywood parts that have been precision cut on our CNC Router. We'll smooth the parts with sanders and handheld routers, then glue and assemble them into a chair! After the glue sets, we'll come back for a final sanding and surface finish to protect and seal your chair.
Your finished chair will be approximately 27 inches tall, 27 inches wide, and 30 inches deep. If you would like to check out the chair we'll be building ahead of time, please stop by the Hammerspace open house any Thursday night between 6pm and 9pm.
This is an class is an Intermediate level woodworking class. You will learn how to use each tool needed in the class, but we will expect you to have a basic level of comfortable around power tools. We will be using Sanders, Angle Grinders, Sandpaper, Chisels, Clamps, Router Tables, and Paint Sprayers.
Please wear closed toed shoes and clothes you are comfortable getting dirty in! This is a two day class. On Saturday we will meet from 1pm to 4pm for sanding and gluing. Then on Sunday we will meet from 1pm to 6pm for final sanding and finishing.
