**NOTE: THIS IS A TWO DAY, TWO PART CLASS. TICKETS GO ON SALE THIS WEDNESDAY, APRIL 25TH AT 10:00AM**
PART 1 (Saturday, May 19th, Noon-4:00pm: We will be forging rail road spikes into knives. In this first class we will hammer out a knife blank from a spike and begin the stock removal process. Basic hammering techniques and good forging practices will be covered as well as blacksmithing terms and equipment operation.
PART 2 (Sunday, May 20th, Noon until completed): We will be doing stock reduction with grinders and sanders to create a finished knife and heat treating the knives before final sanding.
Wear closed toe shoes and come ready to get hot and dirty at the coal forge.
