Hello fellow testers!

Hope your winter holidays were full of joy and your new year's resolution includes getting more involved with the local testing community. :)

We are starting the 2019 meetups with Kylie Schleicher's fast-paced talk discussing the intersection of automation and manual validation in the evolution of modern QA practices, and how the art of exploratory testing can identify notable defects, re-ignite the discipline, attract new talent, and create a more diverse career path.

Kylie leads VMLY&R's quality assurance practice, leveraging modern strategies to ensure the quality of VMLY&R-developed applications and digital experiences. Prior to joining VMLY&R in February 2014, Kylie led transformative quality assurance efforts for companies in health information technology, financial services, information management and telecommunications. She continues to span industries, and geographies, assisting clients to evolve their approach to quality and improve delivery.
Kylie is passionate about initiatives that create opportunities to advance women and those with nontraditional backgrounds in technology. She is an active mentor helping others hone the skills needed to be successful.

Come join us for an evening of interesting discussion! And, as usual, snacks will be provided!

PS: VMLY&R is currently hiring a Java Developer in Test (Test Automation Engineer). See the details and apply here: https://jobs.jobvite.com/vml/job/osYU8fwc
