Presentation I:

Title:  How to create printable reports in Access from linked table sources in EXCEL.

Presenter:  Earl Long

Description:  On January 16, 2019 Earl will present, at the elementary level, his techniques for creating Reports.

The scenario will be a small company having data input from EXCEL spread sheets and wanting printable reports on various aspects of the small business. 

Bio:  Earl Long is an original member of the Heartland Users Group. Over the years he has developed many applications for various small businesses and government organizations. He is currently retired however he maintains his Access skills by creating applications for family and friends.

 

Q&A Session:  Bring your Access questions for the group to answer, explore or brainstorm ideas.

Title:  How to “run” your Access reports?

Presenter:  Jim Watkins, Jr.

Description:  How do you “run” your Access reports? Click a button on the switchboard for a static report? Embed parameters in your query to Select a Customer or a Year? Create 12 reports to perform different sorting and groupings and/or Selection Criteria? Have you ever thought about a Report Setup form to allow the user to make selections to customize the report to their needs and then run the report with those user selections using ONLY one base report? This presentation will examine that approach to reporting in an Access database.

Bio:  Jim Watkins is a senior developer for Heritage Computer Consulting & Services, Inc. HCCS is a 24 year old Computer Consulting firm located in Overland Park, Kansas specializing in providing custom solutions to real world challenges for their clients.
